OK, we’re not going to lie, the city of Lynchburg rocks! The historic downtown has great places for shopping and dining out with friends. You’ll find fantastic vegan eats and the greasiest Cheesy Western of all time. Branch out and you'll find even more!

Across Central Virginia, there’s paintball, rafting, tubing, hiking, jet skiing, mini golf, axe throwing, disc golf, skateparks, and much more.

Our town has a growing music scene. There are plenty of venues for both musicians and listeners, not to mention the nearby Lockn’ Farm Festival, Blue Ridge Rock Festival, FloydFest and others!

Smith Mountain Lake

Smith Mountain Lake is a huge recreational lake just 45 minutes away, with public beaches and boat rentals galore. It's the perfect place to enjoy nature or just chill.

Hiking

The Appalachian Trail and Sharp Top Trail are within an hour of campus. There are dozens of hikes with a range in distance and difficulty. Some even have awesome waterfalls or swimming holes!
