What kind of academic accommodations are available for students with disabilities?

We guarantee all students with documented disabilities equal access to an education limited only by personal ability and not by disability, and we support students in obtaining reasonable accommodations. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) establishes the requirements for services and accommodations at the post-secondary level.

The Center for Accessibility and Disability Resources (CADR) works with students, faculty, staff, and administrators to provide and/or arrange for reasonable accommodations, services, training, consultation, and technical assistance based on disability. While the University of Lynchburg does not offer programs/courses specifically designed for students with disabilities, we strive to ensure that courses, programs, services, activities, and facilities are equally accessible to all students.

Accommodations for cognitive, mental health, medical and/or physical disabilities in the areas of academic, housing, and dietary needs are considered as appropriate.
